Outdoor Church Nov. 13, 10:00 a.m.

We hope you are planning to join the church family on November 13 for Outdoor Church at Cohutta Springs Camp Life Center.  The program will begin at 10 a.m. in the Life Center building on the camp side (road to the right as you enter the grounds). A taco bowl and bottled water will be provided for an outdoor lunch. There are bathrooms located in the area. Please bring dessert, enough for your family and to share.  A dessert table will be set up.  The church is providing the paperware and utensils.  You may also want to bring bug spray, a first aid kit, and wear appropriate dress for cooler weather.  There are nice hiking trails for those who want to Hike around the lake after the afternoon program is over about 4:00 pm.  The Life Center is Handicap accessible. First Fasting Friday

Fasting and Prayer: Our next day of fasting and prayer is November 5. We will be praying in our homes for the outpouring of God’s spirit on our church, our families, our community and our nation. Pray for a spiritual revival and miracles of reformation and conversion. Pray that God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Pray for Jesus’ Soon Coming!. 

Mother's prayer group

Mothers Prayer Group. Please join us to study and pray for our children as we prepare them for our future in heaven. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. If interested in joining this group, please contact Heather Joy at 423-883-1226 for more information.

High School Homeschool

The High School Homeschool group from Chattanooga First is having a sewing class for this school year. The class will be on Mondays at 1:30 p.m. at the church. The class is open to middle and high school students. If you have an interest in this class please feel free to come on Monday or to contact Raquel Monteiro at 423-693-7948.

The High School Homeschool group is having soccer games Sunday mornings from 8-10 a.m. at the Bonny Oaks soccer fields. Church members of any age that want to play email Raquel Monteiro. spencerlorena677@gmail.com

GEORGIA-CUMBERLAND ACADEMY

GCA Academy Days: /this two-day event is for students in grades 8-11 who are interested in experiencing academy life at a boarding school.. CHATT FIRST CHOIR PRACTICE

Choir Practice meets every Thursday, at 6:30 p.m. Thanks to all of our faithful choir members that spend so many  hours of practice in praise to our Savior.  All are welcome to come and join us in praising the Lord through music.  You don't need to be a professional to join.

 

Pathfinder Club

The Pathfinder Club has started their new year and meets every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.  If you would like to join the Pathfinder Club contact Michael Bates, the deadline to join for the 2021-2022 year is October 6.  They are a very active club with a lot of events planned. Pathfinders Metal Collection Fundraiser

Thanks to all who have contributed metal this year to Pathfinders. Here is an update on metal recycling for Pathfinders:    July 1 – October 25, Total raised, $1506. Feel free to bring your metal, aluminum, copper, brass, and other metal to the Church and put it in the bin at the back.  I’m also happy to arrange pickup at your house.  My number is Steve Kuhlman, 423-486-4412.

Resources for the Homeless

Our Homeless Ministry continues to grow.  There is a real need for blankets, sleeping bags, tents, tarps, AA and AAA batteries.  Candles in jars work, bug spray, ball caps, bandannas, sun screen. Hand sanitizer and personal wipes. Shoes and sandals, mens and women's, all sizes.  All sizes of men's and women's underwear.  Toiletries are always needed. Please keep these needs in mind when you look in your closets, when you’re shopping, including thrift stores and the Dollar Tree.  Use the baskets in the church foyer marked "Homeless" to put your donations in. Volunteers In Medicine of Chattanooga

A faith-based primary care medical clinic that provides services at no cost to the patient. If you, or someone you know is a resident of Hamilton County, between the ages of 19 and 64, is not currently covered by medical insurance, and does not make income over 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, then feel free to stop by for a visit. They are located at 5705 Marlin Road, Suite 1400, Chattanooga, TN 37411. 

To defeat COVID-19 for good, we are encouraging vaccinations for our patients and the community at large! The Volunteers in Medicine, Chattanooga charitable primary care clinic to provide Pfizer vaccines from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nov. 11.

  • Both the two-dose vaccine and Booster will be available to the public courtesy of the Hamilton County Health Department.

  • There is no cost to get vaccinated, and no appointment required.

  • The VIM local clinic is located at 5705 Marlin Road, Suite 1400 near Eastgate in Chattanooga.

FOOD PANTRY

Thank you for your contributions to fill our food pantry. We once again seek your generosity to restock our food pantry.  We are always in need of more cans of fruit. Please place your donations in the labeled baskets located  in the back of the foyer.  If you know of anyone that needs help, please call Shirley Smith at 423-713-6667.

Our Food Pantry is empty.  We were able to help the Tennessee flood victims that are left with nothing but the clothes on their backs after the recent storms. Your contributions to refill our shelves is greatly appreciated.

MESSIAH SING-ALONG

The Messiah Sing-Along has been postponed until Easter, 2022. Date to be determined.
